Knights Table Tennis is the official table tennis team at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Founded in Fall 2003, the club is represented under the UCF Sports Club Council. The Sports Club Council is the governing body for all UCF Sports Clubs, and is funded annually by the Student Government Association (SGA). Since its formation, the club has grown steadily in size to over 50 active members.
Each year the club competes against major universities in the state of Florida, as well as other private academic institutions. Of these include: The University of Florida, Florida State University, The University of Miami, Florida Institute of Technology, and The University of Puerto Rico.
We are currently ranked 13th in the nation among 140+ schools in the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association, and finished 2nd overall in the state of Florida for the 2005 – 2006 season. Spots on the roster are available throughout the season, and are ordered #1 - #8 based upon performance during pre-tournament tryouts. Just as important as its members, are the fans and supporters that contribute to the club each year through their participation and sponsorship. We are once again proud to be sponsored by TTP/Killerspin through our NCTTA membership, and are pleased to retain purchase-order discounts on their website.
Besides these generous groups, the club possess a strong fan base on facebook.com, where advertising and promotions for the club originally took place before the creation of this website. Facebook represents one of the first online fan bases for the club. You can still visit us there today under the group name: 'Ping Pong Knights'
